The center of the webbed world is Las Vegas this week as the annual Consumer Electronics Show hits town.
Before the show even started, announcements started wandering the web. Things like a podcasting adapter for iPods from Belkin, USB keys that back things up online, epaper with brilliant resolution, and perhaps the biggest rumour of them all from the Panasonic camp.
The TV section of CES has always been the most talked about, and Panasonic will get all the headlines again as they are said to be bringing a 150 inch Plasma HDTV to the show, over 40 inches bigger than the previous biggest ever.
The screen measures 2 meters by 3.5 meters. The image will be so clear it may be difficult to tell the difference between a real person and one on the screen unless one was standing right there talking to them.
The new 150-inch plasma HDTV should be available to the public in 2009, meanwhile, you’ll just have to settle for that 103 inch plasma.
catch the buzz … pass it on.
