Steve Jobs is back in control of Apple and as is their priority for fall, a new line of iPods was unleased at a media event last week. The iPod Shuffle got a new coat of paint, the iPod Classic and iPod Touch got some storage upgrades, but the iPod Nano was the real star of the show.
Video, an FM radio and a pedometer all are being introduced into the Nano which will still be available in a rainbow of colours.
The video is the first big sexy you’ll notice and it’s meant to go up against the Flip video handhelds. it’s a tight little camera that shoots 640×480 clips and can then upload to Facebook or YouTube or email once you sync back with your computer.
The FM radio will be great as you can now listen to the radio on your iPod and use it to discover new music. You can real time tag tracks you like while you’re listening to the radio and then pick them up in the iTunes store when you sync your iPod. iPod nano also features Genius Mixes, which automatically creates up to 12 endless mixes of songs from your iTunes library that go great together.
iPod Nano is also now an even better workout companion with the new built-in pedometer. iPod Nano can keep track of your steps taken and calories burned, helping you meet your short and long-term fitness goals.
